At one time it was also manufactured under the name Fastin but in 1998 it was withdrawn from market by it manufacturer, SK-Beecham. It is also available as a generic just named phentermine.
These diet pills are available in three forms, tablets, capsules, and resin capsules. They should be taken once a day prior to breakfast, on an empty stomach. Do not take late in the day as it does act like a stimulant and may disrupt your normal sleeping patterns. Do not break, crush or chew tablets.
Most patients start out with an average dose of 30mgs a day, but since there is no standard dose for Phentermine diet pills, consult your doctor before you begin taking them. Children under the age of 16 should not take it.
