Normally I do not give any sort of review about any one I have personally done business with, but the day I had my satellite television installed in my home I was very impressed and very grateful to the guy that Direct TV sent to us.
Many times when someone comes to your home to do installation or repairs of any kind, you are never sure what kind of person is going to show up.
Our family did not choose Direct TV for any particular reason, but I am very glad that we did. We have had great satisfaction from our new satellite television service since day one. We live in a rural area where cable was not available to us.
Actually, we only live a few houses down from where access to cable stops, and we could have had a connection ran to our house, that is if we wanted to spend hundreds of dollars for the privilege. Before we got satellite television installed, we used our antennae and could get 3 channels. Our kids hated it.
The day the young man came out to do the installation, I was at work and my spouse was home. We I got there at 4:00 pm, he was almost finished. The crawl space under my home is very low and he was very dirty.
We also have 4 television sets in our house and he hooked up each and every one. I could tell he had been there for a while and was probably pretty tired, but he was not through yet.
Since we had never had satellite television before, we knew head nor tails about the system or the remote control. He took the time to explain to us how to use the remote.
One of the features that was very important for me to know how to use were the parental controls. I have children and a granddaughter and it is very important to us to know what they are watching. He was very patient and informative. He hung around until he was sure we knew how it all worked.
After that, he cleaned up the boxes and trash that was scattered through the house from all his hard work and finally said so long and good luck. I am sure he was glad to see the last of us!
My only regret about the day we had satellite television installed was that I did not ask the nice guy’s name so I could give him the credit he deserves for being so nice and doing his job so well.
